He stands outside of the scene, un noniced, as if waiting to catch women in a moment in which they would to the lowest degree appreciate to be seen. Hopper had been doing this since his childhood; he wish to observe people, without being noticed himself. Hoppers establish sparks many questions for the viewer; is the woman looking at something, or into nothingness? Might she be so control that she herself is unmindful to anything going on around her? Sometimes, we think that these scenes are not meant for the eyes of others, that possibly these paintings should not rush been painted at all?
