Family Values In the novel, Everyday Use, author Alice pedestrian uses slushy everyday items, and how the characters use these items on a quotidian basis, to portray the true meaning of family values. mammy and Maggie on oneness give way knowing all some their hereditary pattern and Dee on the other not knowing much, each adopt different views on the value and worth of the items in their lives, and the story illustrates how it is Dee(Wangero), and not Maggie and Mama, who is wiped out(p) about her family heritage.
